Industries using composite materials, especially fiberglass reinforced plastics, are facing a growing waste problem due to limited recycling options. Traditional methods don’t work because the composite structure can’t be easily melted or reshaped after production.

The industries use composite materials, production of which increases every year. About 90% of the mentioned composite materials represent fiberglass reinforced plastics. Presently, the recycling of these composites is not achieved in a satisfying manner, mostly because the composite material following cross-linking cannot be remelted or remoulded or the fiberglass fibres are destroyed.

From Waste to New Products

Our innovative recycling process transforms waste fiberglass-reinforced polymeric materials into valuable new products. Here’s how we do it:

  • Crushing

    First, the waste materials are crushed into manageable particles, preparing them for the recycling process.

  • Mixing with Adhesive

    Next, the crushed material is mixed with a specialized adhesive. This step involves nebulizing the adhesive while simultaneously stirring the particles of the fiber-reinforced polymeric material. This ensures thorough distribution and bonding of the materials.

  • Moulding

    The mixture is then poured into a mould, where it takes shape to form new composite products.

  • Applying Pressure

    Finally, pressure is applied to the moulded composite to solidify and strengthen the new product.
